‘Kick Start Footy’

As a kid, there was always a pressure on performing well at football; even during games of 'heads and volleys' or 'curby'. Due to this pressure, myself and many other kids also with limited football skill felt left out during social situations to prevent embarrassment or judgement. The idea behind "kick start footy" is for a fun and judgement free version of football classes with the focus on enjoyment and social activity rather than fitness and core skills. Through attending the fun versions of classes, people with lower ability would naturally improve their skills to prevent them being pushed aside. The promotional video for "Kick Start Footy", focuses on showcasing lower ability football scenarios and emphasising a light hearted approach to clear errors and bad performances: creating a clear connection to the values of the club. Concentration on bad footballing ability filmed in an indie style to promote the club creates a welcoming appearance for the intended audience, a feeling they may not have previously had in the world of football.
